The American Society on Aging today called on Congress to abandon the budget proposal submitted by the President yesterday and offer an alternative that spares the deepest cuts in domestic spending in a generation.
ASA Board Chairman Bob Blancato said, “The pure volume of ill-advised program elimination and cuts in this budget is hard to fathom. If adopted as proposed it would guarantee a decade of despair for millions of the most vulnerable Americans of all ages.”
